At its highly anticipated product announcement event at the new Steve Jobs Theater, Apple didn’t disappoint. The big news was the revolutionary iPhone X, which eliminates the Home button and unlocks by recognizing your face. Apple also announced the evolutionary iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus; a cellular-capable Apple Watch Series 3; and the Apple TV 4K, which supports 4K HDR video. The company said that iOS 11 and watchOS 4 would ship on September 19th, and later noted that macOS 10.13 High Sierra would arrive September 25th.Read More

Do you know the most frequently asked question here at Visionary Computer? Actually, it’s “When are you going to start selling the iPhone…”, but the second most frequently asked question is “When are you going to bring back your popular free classes, seminars, and workshops?” Well, I have the answer to that one - we are rebooting them starting this weekend!
We’re restarting with the basics, a one hour workshop here in our beautiful new showroom. The topic is an "introduction" to the macOS and specifically macOS Sierra version 10.12. This first workshop will lead the way to a series of others aimed at helping users get the most out of their Apple products.Read More
One of the reasons we all love our Macintosh Computers is because they are nearly trouble-free. Now that Malware for Macs is so wide-spread, having a quick check-up every once in a while makes a whole lot of sense and, as they age, there are things which could use some attention. Our team of skilled technicians can optimize performance, eliminate small problems, and help identify big ones before they get out of hand. For a limited time, we are offering an incredibly special price on a comprehensive Tune-Up for your Mac. Small-town technology company becomes one of only fifty independent Apple Premier Partners in the entire USA and the only one in Connecticut.
LAKEVILLE – June 19th, 2017 – Visionary Computer announced today that after two years of changes, upgrades, and enhancements, it has finally earned the authorization of Apple Premier Partner from Apple Inc. On June 11, 2015 Apple Inc. announced a major reorganization of its independent Apple authorized sales channel. The top tier of its resellers would be members of the Apple Premier Partner program, a group of companies which have demonstrated consistent expertise in the sale, service, and support of Apple products. Entry into this program would only be granted after the applicant was subjected to a variety of qualifications and scrutiny by the technology giant. These included minimums on square footage, testing and certification, scores on “secret shop” visits, adherence to Apple’s look and feel standards and a variety of financial metrics. In earning its place as an Apple Premier Partner, Visionary Computer became one of only fifty companies in the entire country to reach this level and the only Apple Premier Partner located in the state of Connecticut.Read More

Here at Visionary Computer, we pride ourselves on really going the extra mile for our customers. Recently we had a case where we had to go even further. One of our customers had suffered a building fire. Thankfully no one was hurt but their computers were all completely destroyed. One computer in particular was business critical. It was an ancient circa 1999 G3 Blue and White and, as you may be able to see from the photos, it was melted closed and severely burned. The customer brought it to us without much hope for the data.Read More
