Seminars (Fall 2013 Newsletter)

I'm not afraid to admit when I'm wrong and I am responsive enough to make changes when I spot something which isn't working. We are still trying to find a model which works for both us and our customers. Some months ago we announced a repeating series of seminars on the iPad, iCloud and Apple TV. Those have all been cancelled. But I've got some new ideas…

For starters, thanks in large part to our new website with integrated push notifications to FaceBook and Twitter, I don't think having a rigid schedule is needed. When we have something new or exciting to talk about, we will "call" a seminar via the site, Facebook, Twitter and email blast. We found that our best attendance was always right after we sent an email. The magic balance is sending out enough to inform customers of events without overwhelming them with too many, I get that and I'll do my best to keep the signal to noise ratio in check.

For the last few years I've tasked my staff with coming up with the seminars and while I feel they have done an admirable job, I'm preparing one myself. It's something special, something important and something which applies to every computer user. Stay tuned for that, I'm planning my first roll out in October and it will be something you really don't want to miss…
