Visionary Operations Associate, 24 hours per week, starting at $17 per hour

Visionary Computer is dedicated to delivering an exceptional customer experience. The Operations Associate at Visionary Computer plays a key role in delivering that customer experience. As an Operations Associate, you will help create energy and excitement around Apple’s products and Visionary’s unique value-add. You help customers develop the right solutions for their needs and ultimately see the process through until customers are fully satisfied. You are kind and compassionate - understanding the stress client’s experience when they drop off their devices for upgrade or repair. With the support of the Visionary team, you provide our customers with a sense of calm and the security of knowing that we will help them find the right solution to their technology needs.

As an Operations Associate, you fill several roles at Visionary. You are the first person a customer interacts with when they bring a device (Mac, iPad, iPhone) in for repair. You must be able to hear what the client is describing and be able to adequately transcribe it in writing for the technical team. You are the voice our client hears when they call us. Sales and customer support happen over the phone as well as in person. So a good phone personality is key. As you’re highly skilled at uncovering customers’ needs, you can follow through with enlightening solutions. You will make decisions and decide when it’s best to send the customer to the appropriate Visionary team member. Not only are you the first person customers meet when they enter the store, but you’re also the person who guides them — advising, selling, and even sometimes setting up their new products. You perform other roles within the store too, whether it’s maintaining visual merchandising or assisting team members. Always curious, you stay on top of news about products and initiatives, ready to apply your learning in customer interactions. Your success is measured by team and individual productivity as well as overall store performance. You’re proud to represent Visionary, and you get great satisfaction from helping customers develop lifelong relationships with Visionary Computer and Apple.

Key Qualifications

  • Knowledge and passion for Apple products

  • Strong interest in technology, particularly Apple products, and ability to learning new products and features quickly.

  • Ability to deliver great customer experiences in any environment and to be invigorated by constant personal interaction.

  • Strong communication skills that let you converse as freely and comfortably with small groups as with individual customers, and on the phone and via email.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

  • Kindness, empathy, and compassion.

  • Retail experience preferred but not required

  • Excellent customer-facing skills including conflict resolution and outreach

  • Works well in a team environment

  • Is able to prioritize and balance competing needs

  • Maintains a positive and flexible outlook

Principal Duties:

  • Delight customers with knowledge, integrity, and commitment to an excellent experience

  • Greeting customers as they enter the store, discovering their technology needs.

  • Using the Visionary Database, creating customer profiles as well as correctly and carefully documenting repair tickets for devices brought in for repair.

  • Answering phone calls, having sales discussions on the phone as well as providing basic information to the client regarding Visionary Computer. Sending calls to appropriate team members as needed.

  • Providing assistance to clients with simple questions / issues that can be solved quickly.

  • Occasional errands in-town for drop off and deliveries.
