Visionary COVID Update…

Few among us would ever have imagined that it would be nearly December, and we’re still fighting a war with COVID-19. Sadly, the new data reveals a disturbing trend: cases are higher than they’ve ever been - across the country and right here in our region as well. Deaths and hospitalizations are rising at an alarming rate. The bottom line is, our complacency as a society is costing us dearly. Here at Visionary Computer, we see it daily: from customers not maintaining adequate social distance to our own desires to provide great service overruling our better judgment and need for safety. In the face of this next wave of illness, we are taking a step backwards in our policies, and wanted to communicate clearly to our customers.

In-Store

• All sales and support conversations are to take place over the phone or via email - not face to face.
• We are open for transactional business only, pickups and drop-offs.
• Social Distance must be maintained, Masks required at all times.
• Up to two customer groups are allowed in the store at a time.
• Our showroom remains “closed” for browsing, demo units have been removed.

On-Site

• Only services which can not be performed remotely or via drop off will be considered for on-sites. (Example - Networking, but not training)
• Customers will be emailed a list of requirements and expectations to which they must acknowledge and adhere.
• Ideally, a technician should be able to do his work on-site in absence of the customer. Immediately following, a support phone call can be made to answer any questions.
• Many on-site services we had been performing will be temporarily discontinued.

We will only make it through this challenging time if we work together and look out for each other. Our emphasis needs to be on the safety and wellbeing of our staff, our clients, and each other. Looking ahead, we will be closed on Black Friday, November 27th, and also the Saturday following Christmas, December 26th. My staff has had a year like no other, and they need a little extra time to recharge the batteries. The right things to do are rarely easy and I know some people may not be happy about us limiting services or being closed on typically big sales days, but I believe that these are things we’re doing for everyone’s health and safety. We continue to strive to provide excellent service in a timely fashion, but we must also acknowledge the realities on the ground. A safe and effective vaccine can’t come soon enough; until then, we will continue to monitor developments at the local, state, national, and global level, and plan to make changes as needed.

Be safe, be kind, take care of each other.
