Always get the AppleCare+

AppleCare+ is an optional warranty extension and enhancement. With AppleCare+ you get extended warranty coverage for three years on the Mac (two years for an iPhone or iPad). You also get free phone support direct from Apple during the coverage period. The new (and great!) feature included in AppleCare+ is coverage for up to two incidents of accidental damage with a small service fee.

Why it’s a gift - AppleCare was always a great deal, but when they added that little “+” it became a no-brainer. The current model Macs in particular are marvels of technology, packed so tightly that the construction is radically different than computers which came before. Years ago there were separate, replaceable parts for things like the video card, memory, storage and more. Today, on most notebooks, all those things are on one main logic board which gets replaced if any one of the components fails. As a result, the cost to repair has actually gone up! With AppleCare+ you don’t have to worry about that. The small price you pay for AppleCare+ is money well spent. Important note: in the old days, you could get regular AppleCare right up until your original warranty expired; however with AppleCare+, you only have 60-days from purchase to get it. Our advice is simple: always get AppleCare+ when you buy your new device. You can thank us later when you’re saving hundreds of dollars.
