Computers have become the most common way to share and consume information. Whether on social media, news websites, or email we are surrounded with links vying for our attention. In this article I’m going to review internet security and how to tell if a website is legitimate or not.  Please note that while I will give some specific examples not every case is the same and what you see or experience may not match exactly. Often while browsing news feeds like Yahoo, or Facebook you will come across links to external webpages. Sometimes these are shared by friends or provided by the website creator, but some of them are ads placed by the highest bidder.

Apple Introduces iPhone 8, iPhone X, Apple Watch Series 3, and Apple TV 4K

At its highly anticipated product announcement event at the new Steve Jobs Theater, Apple didn’t disappoint. The big news was the revolutionary iPhone X, which eliminates the Home button and unlocks by recognizing your face. Apple also announced the evolutionary iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus; a cellular-capable Apple Watch Series 3; and the Apple TV 4K, which supports 4K HDR video. The company said that iOS 11 and watchOS 4 would ship on September 19th, and later noted that macOS 10.13 High Sierra would arrive September 25th.

Repair 17169, the case of the melted G3 B&W...

Here at Visionary Computer, we pride ourselves on really going the extra mile for our customers. Recently we had a case where we had to go even further. One of our customers had suffered a building fire. Thankfully no one was hurt but their computers were all completely destroyed. One computer in particular was business critical. It was an ancient circa 1999 G3 Blue and White and, as you may be able to see from the photos, it was melted closed and severely burned. The customer brought it to us without much hope for the data.
